Thailand visa-free entry rules are set to change after the government announced the cancellation of the 60-day visa exemption for tourists from 93 countries and territories.
Under the revised scheme, tourists from 60 eligible countries and territories will be permitted to stay in the kingdom for no more than 30 days without obtaining a visa.
A Ministry of Interior announcement setting out the changes was published in the Royal Gazette on 31 August 2026. The revised arrangements will take effect 15 days after publication.
Passport holders, or those with documents used in place of passports, from countries and territories on the updated list will be permitted to enter Thailand temporarily for tourism without a visa.
