A major Hua Hin networking event will bring together businesspeople from Hua Hin, Bangkok and across the Western Seaboard on Friday, 18 September.

Hua Hin Today and the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) will co-host Connecting Hua Hin from 6pm to 8.30pm at Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin.

The event follows the launch of Hua Hin Today Connect, a monthly business networking series introduced in July.

The first two events attracted representatives from a wide range of sectors. The second gathering, held at Holiday Inn Resort Vana Nava Hua Hin in August, reached full capacity.

Jonathan Fairfield, Editor-in-Chief of Hua Hin Today, said the response to the networking series had been encouraging.

“We have been really pleased with the response to Hua Hin Today Connect,” Jonathan said. “The August event was a full house, and it was great to see such a strong mix of people from different sectors meeting, talking and making useful connections.

“It shows what many of us already know: Hua Hin has a thriving and varied business community. The aim now is to keep building on that and create a regular event where people can connect each month.”

Hua Hin networking event strengthens business links

BCCT already holds regular networking events in Hua Hin, supported by Hua Hin Today as a media partner. September’s event will be the first time the two organisations have worked together as co-hosts.

Karl St George, Chair of the Western Seaboard at the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand, said the partnership would strengthen links between the Hua Hin and Bangkok business communities.

“It’s very exciting to collaborate with Hua Hin Today on the Connecting Hua Hin event,” Karl said. “This joint event will help build closer connections between Bangkok and Hua Hin businesses.”

He added that a particularly strong turnout is expected at the event.

“We are expecting this collaborative event between the BCCT and Hua Hin Today to be the largest networking event in Hua Hin,” he said.

Jonathan said combining BCCT’s network with Hua Hin Today’s local business community would allow attendees to meet people outside their usual circles.

“This is a great opportunity to show Bangkok and the wider business community what is happening here in Hua Hin,” he said. “There are a lot of interesting businesses and people here, and events like this help create connections that can lead to new opportunities.”

The networking evening is open to BCCT members and non-members and costs 1,100 baht per person, including wine, beer and soft drinks.

A free seminar hosted by Business Class Asia will be held before the networking event, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. It will cover local and offshore taxation, as well as local and offshore inheritance tax, and will be open to all attendees at no additional charge.

Connecting Hua Hin will take place from 6pm to 8.30pm on Friday, 18 September, at Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin.
